JONES FOR 3RD CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE, WAYNE COUNTY 2028 JONES FOR MICHIGAN GOVERNOR 2030
Father · U.S. Veteran · Advocate

My children were taken from me by a courtroom that would not look at the evidence.
This is our story, and the proof, told in the open.

I am Gregory Charles Jones -- a disabled veteran living with cancer, and the father of Bilal, Jameel, and Maryam. For two years I have watched Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Yvonna Abraham take my family apart, one denied motion after another. Her rulings have made clear that, in her courtroom, the state and federal child protection laws that are supposed to protect my children simply do not apply to them. I have filed a formal complaint against her with the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission, but that process is slow and its outcome is not guaranteed -- and it cannot undo what has already happened to my children. I have also taken this to the Michigan Court of Appeals, but that appeal was dismissed after Wayne County failed to produce the hearing transcript I needed to pursue it. Judges in Michigan answer to voters, not just to commissions, and I believe that is where real accountability has to come from now. I am telling this story publicly, with the documents to back every word of it, because silence is what let it happen, and because voters can only remove a judge whose record they've actually seen.

Why this site exists

On December 20, 2024, my children were taken from our home by force. My son Bilal was placed in a psychiatric facility within a day. My daughter Maryam has since been documented by multiple licensed therapists as experiencing suicidal ideation tied directly to the threat of being removed from my care. I have not seen or heard my son Jameel's voice in a year and a half.

Every one of those sentences is backed by a document. That is the point of this site: not just to tell you what happened, but to show you.

What I'm doing about it

Independent Campaign for Governor of Michigan -- 2030

I intend to run for Governor of Michigan as an independent candidate in 2030. Not because I want a career in politics, but because I believe families like mine only get taken seriously when our stories are told publicly, in front of the people with the power to change the system. I would rather this not be necessary. I would rather see my son again.

3rd Circuit Court, 2028 -- A Campaign to Tell the Truth

I also intend to put my name forward in connection with the 2028 race for the Third Circuit Court -- the same court that presided over my family's case. I want to be completely honest about what this is and is not: I am not a licensed attorney, so under Michigan law I cannot appear on the ballot for a judgeship or take the bench. I know that. What I can do is use that race, and the attention it draws, as a platform to make sure the facts of what happened to my children in that courthouse are heard by the public and by the people who do have the power to run for that seat and change how it operates.

"I have filed federal lawsuits. I have filed a formal complaint with the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission. I am not asking anyone to take my word alone -- every fact in this story comes from signed court orders, official CPS findings, and documents written by my children's own therapists."
